  1. Get 1 pkg. Active dry yeast
  2. Get 3/4 cup warm water divided
  3. Take 4-4 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  4. Prepare 1/4 cup sugar
  5. Make ready 1 1/2 tsp. Salt
  6. Take 1/2 cup warm milk
  7. Make ready 1/4 cup softened butter
  8. Take 1 egg
  9. Take 1/4 cup melted butter
  10. Make ready 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  11. Get 4 tsp. Ground cinnamon

Instructions to make Cinnamon Twists:
  1. In large bowl dissolve yeast in 1/4 cup warm water. Add 2 cups of flour, sugar, salt, milk, butter, egg and remaining water. Bear in medKim speed for 3 minutes. Stir in enough remaining flour to form soft dough.
  2. Turn dough into a floured surface; knead until smoth and elastic (about 6-8 minutes). Place in greased bowl, turning once to grease top. Cover and let ride in warm place for 1hr or until doubled.
  3. Punch down dough. Roll into a 16×12in. rectangle. Brush with butter. Combine brown sugar and cinnamon, sprinkle over butter. Let dough rest for 6 minutes. Cut lengthwise three times. Cut each strip ten times. Twist and place in greased baking sheets. Cover and let ride for 30 minutes (or until doubled).
  4. Bake at 350° for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
